In 1961 the US pledged to send man to the moon. In 2010 the Constellation Program, meant to return man to the moon, was ended. This is the aftermath.
The photo series launched one week after the return of the last shuttle. The site received over 280,000 hits, resulted in interviews on Viceland and Wired, was featured on roughly 1000 blogs and ran in 10 plus magazines.
